Webinar: Know Your Rights

June 28, 2022

4:00 p.m. ET

Join us on June 28th to learn what to know if you have a franchise agreement that hasn’t been updated but is out-of-date.

For many years, franchisees whose agreements expired between 2014 and 2021 were not sent renewal agreements—but everyone continued to operate as if the agreement had been renewed.

Recently, Subway has begun notifying these folks that if they don’t agree to sign the new form franchise agreement, they may face termination.

This webinar is aimed at educating franchisees about their rights in such a situation. It will answer questions about how agreements might have been renewed through conduct, rather than writing, and if that happened, how long such an agreement may be effective.

Join NAASF General Counsel Ron Gardner for this timely and informative session meant at arming you with the information you need to make the right decision for you and your business if you face this situation.

Welcome (back), Mitesh!

Mitesh Raval was recently appointed to a Board seat vacated by long-time NAASF Board Member Sheetal Patel. Filling the seat's remaining months through the end of the year, Mitesh returns to the NAASF Board (he served previously, years ago) and is eager to represent the franchisee community as a whole, and specifically his area. For those of you who may not know Mitesh a bit of background:

  • He's been a Subway® franchise owner since 2002, with his wife Swati (who serves on the IPC Board of Directors). He grew up in Subway, as his parents owned and operated Subway Restaurants and so Mitesh was more than ready on the responsibilities of running the restaurants when the time came.
  • Mitesh has served three years on the FAF Board: two years as its Vice Chairman and one as its Sergeant-at Arms.
  • Mitesh shared his thoughts on joining the NAASF Board, "As the newest member of the NAASF team, I look forward to working with my fellow Board members, the FAF team, IPC team and the SUBWAY team to drive our brand forward and to maximize the value of Franchise Owners' investment in SUBWAY. I believe that our collective success ensures our greatest individual success. I am excited to be a part of the NAASF team and pledge to work to contribute in a positive way towards improving the SUBWAY franchise system for all of us."

Welcome, Mitesh!
