What is something you're scared of?
When I was a kid I was really afraid of heights. Just climbing up a ladder freaked me out. As a teenager I had heard it said many times that if you face your fears, your fears disappear. So one day I decided I would try that. I went to Knott's Berry Farm. They had this parachute ride where they took you up to the top of a tower and dropped you down. It wasn't a real free fall as the parachute was attached to cables and they really just lowered you down quickly. I decided to ride that over and over one day until it no longer bothered me. Fast forward to today and rock climbing and rappelling are two of my favorite things.
What do you love about your job?
I love helping people. I shied away from sales because I did not want to convince people to buy something they didn't want or need. However, I found my niche is really in understanding what people really want or need, then educating them and helping them find solutions that work best for them.
