We’ve had a lot of inquiries regarding implementation of Single Sign On (SSO) and questions about the login process. While we’re awaiting official direction from Clareity, the staff has taken some troubleshooting steps of our own and want to share those with you.
SSO is bundled with Matrix 360 and provided by CoreLogic to ease the burden of membership having to remember multiple logins and passwords for the services they use every day, as well as a security measure to stem the flow of unauthorized logins and use of the data. YOUR data.
Several members have reported having to login more than once on the SSO dashboard. After a tip from a vigilant member, we have done some testing and can report that in every instance we have tested the multiple login is prompted when a user has saved (or attempted to save) their password in their web browser. This saved password is not accepted by Clareity as their login analytics are based on keystrokes and a saved password has no keystrokes to be detected. The result is that your login fails, and you are redirected to the login screen to type it in a second time. Clearing the saved password from the browser solved the issue
every time we tried it.
Passwords cannot be saved in Clareity, nor can the user copy and paste their password. This is because of the keystroke analytics and is by design for security reasons. In the short time we’ve had the system in place, we have been able to determine that we have unauthorized access issues both with failed attempts and successful logins.
We have documented multiple failed login attempts from the Philippines, Australia, Mexico, India, Canada, Costa Rica, Columbia, Czechia, England and Scotland. Much more disturbing are the number of SUCCESSFUL logins from these same countries.
