Norco Area Chamber of Commerce's Weekly Newsletter
March 4, 2019
The mission of the Norco Area Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the community by strengthening business.
A Message from our Chamber's President
Dear NACC Team,

Norco Horseweek is almost here, it begins on Friday, April 12th and continues until Sunday, April 21st. This event was established in 1970 and donates all profits to local community groups. Norco Horseweek is still open for vendors, and volunteers. I myself will be volunteering to setup, sell tickets, and judge the obstacle course. This is a great opportunity to promote your business and become involved with the community as it brings in over 8000 people a year. There are a wide variety of activities to volunteer for including: golf cart rides, t-shirt sales, tear-down, and more!
I hope you all have the opportunity to take part in this ongoing Norco tradition while growing your presence in the community. If you have any questions on how to get involved you may contact Tammy Norman at 909-240-4407, or click here .

I-15 Express Lanes

Alternating closures on the El Cerrito Rd. and Ontario Ave. on- and off-ramps on northbound and southbound I-15 are scheduled nightly from Monday, March 4 to Thursday, March 7 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for electrical work. The ramps will not be closed consecutively. Detours will be clearly marked. Visit our  detour map  for more information.

Intermittent lane reductions are also scheduled on northbound and southbound I-15 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights and up to 7 a.m. weekend mornings. During lane reductions, at least one lane will remain open at all times.

Riverside Dr. at the I-15 undercrossing will be closed nightly from Tuesday, March 5 through Friday, March 8 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge demolition work. Detours will be clearly marked. Please use alternate routes.

A temporary traffic configuration continues to be in place on El Cerrito Road at I-15 to allow crews to widen the El Cerrito bridge. Please allow for extra travel time and use caution when traveling through the area due to ongoing construction activities.

Daytime flagging operations will continue weekdays for bridge widening work on Corona Ave. at I-15 through March.
Caltrans Mainentance Work: Caltrans crews will be closing the eastbound 91 connector to the northbound 71 for maintenance repairs. The work will take place Saturday, March 2 from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Please remember to reduce your speed in the work zone.

The 15 Express Lanes project will add two tolled express lanes in each direction on I-15 between Cajalco Road and SR-60, a distance of approximately 15 miles. Drivers will be able to enter and exit the tolled facility at multiple locations, and the project continues RCTC's ongoing commitment to expand the express lanes network. Construction in the median began in March 2018. The new lanes are expected to open in 2020.

Due to the dynamic nature of construction, this information is subject to change.
