Music from the Edges of Canada is a national music series that showcases 22 artists in 11 Live and Virtual Concerts in four Theatres from the edges of Canada. The venue partners are the Imperial Theatre, Saint John, NB; the Tidemark Theatre, Campbell River, BC; the Yukon Arts Centre, Whitehorse, YT; and the Northern Arts & Cultural Centre, Yellowknife, NT.

On December 10th & 11th, NACC will be recording two concerts featuring amazing local performers! Two headliners for the price of one and they're debuting new material as well! WOW! You can be part of this LIVE concert which will then be available to watch from home in the new year only through this exclusive series.

NACC's AGM will be held on January 23rd @ 1:00 pm at NACC and on ZOOM.
The mandate of NACC is to encourage the development of the performing arts from all cultural traditions and provide a venue in the Northwest Territories for community and professionally produced performances. 

The Objectives of the Society (Board Members and staff) include:
-To manage and operate facilities in the NWT for community and professionally produced performances, including any type of musical and theatrical performances;
-To hold leases, licenses, and contracts in connection with the operation of such facilities; 
-To engage in other activities which may, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, further the development of cultural activities and facilities in the NWT.

NorthwesTel Artist of the Month

Jessica McVicker needs little introduction as a prolific and well-known artist who is constantly evolving and finetuning her craft. Her work is stunning and must be seen in person to truly appreciate the detail, depth, and beauty of each piece. A collection of her paintings will be on display and for sale until NACC closes for the winter holiday break in mid-December. You can view her work during shows or by appointment. COVID-19 Guidelines
NACC is now able to host 198 audience members in the theatre. It's a significant improvement from the 50 people we were allowed since the pandemic started. We look forward to having guests back and appreciate your patience regarding the required protocols to do so. It takes time to review Covid-19 symptoms and vaccine passes, so arrive early. NACC will be open 1 hour before the show starts. All ticket holders over the age of 12 must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19.

  • Patrons must wear masks when entering the building and present their vaccine pass along with ID.
  • Masks are required for all live music performances in the theatre auditorium.
  • Tickets are sold in sets of 2. Anyone needing a different quantity of tickets should contact the box office at 867-766-6101
  • Occasionally a different configuration of tickets such as 3 or 4 will be available. When purchasing these groupings all the tickets need to be selected. Failure to do so could mean that your order is cancelled.
  • The box office window is only open to the public one hour before each performance. To contact the box office outside that time call 867-766-6101 during the weekday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Please maintain 2 metres apart whenever possible.
  • Use of the NACC lobby which is shared with Sir John Franklin School should be as limited as possible. Please do not congregate in this area before, during, and after each performance. Please maintain 2 metres apart while waiting in the lobby to enter the theatre.
  • Patrons are asked whenever possible to stay in their seats during intermission.
  • For accessible seating please call the box office.
 
If not vaccinated:
  • If you have a GNWT CPHO exemption letter and want to attend a NACC performance please contact the staff at 867-873-4950 ext 3 or 4 at least 2 business days ahead of the performance date. 
  • Present proof of a negative self-funded PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the performance. Rapid antigen or home test kits will not be accepted.
  • Agree to wear a mask during the entire time you are at NACC. 
  • Agree to be identified by NACC staff as unvaccinated to ensure that proper cleaning and safety protocols are in place.
 
NACC will not retain any Covid-19 related information.
