The 2020 Summer Board Meeting will take place via Zoom on
July 20, 2-4 PM
Pacific. We will discuss several action items:
- Proposed Bylaw Amendment to allow for virtual business
- Draft FY 2021 Budget
- Proposed Board Statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

NACD FORESTRY RPG RELEASES TOPICS FOR SUMMER VIRTUAL MEETING
On August 11, the
Forestry RPG
will host a series of 50-minute webinars, open to all conservation districts and forestry partners interested in attending. Topics include:
- How conservation districts can support female forest landowners
- Is biochar a growth area for conservation districts?
- Nailing down the right approach
- A closer look at American Tree Farm System (ATFS) standards
- Supporting the NWTF National Forestry Initiative
- Making the case for strong forest economies
- Conservation districts provide a boost to pre-fire efforts

DISTRICTS CONSERVE COASTS
To celebrate National Ocean Month during June, NACD's Coastal Resource Policy Group (RPG) hosted
a social media campaign
to celebrate district activities that support coastal, lake and riparian ecosystems. Many Pacific districts showed support using the hashtag #DistrictsConserveCoasts!
