Update from NACE President Rich Sanders
Well, winter has put its full grip on Minnesota over the past couple of months.
Lows in the-40 range and highs around -15. At least that's what it was when Mr. Stone came to visit theNorth Dakota County Engineers at their annual conference in Grand Forks, ND on January 30th. There he gave a Federal update and was able to discuss what happens on the hill with our NDcolleagues. If you live in the SE part of the US you haveto deal with hurricanes and they get named such as Katrina and Andrew. In NW Minnesota we deal with blizzards and they get named. We are up to Blizzard Emilia. So yes 5 blizzards so far this winter. The snow is piled high, which is causing issues with plowing. So, it's time to contract out some Dozer time with a local contractor to push snow away from intersections so that you can see the oncoming vehicles.
