TrustedRide: A New Approach to Providing Transportation Assistance
Tuesday, May 25 | 2:00 - 3:00 pm EST
Many older adults and people with disabilities need more than just a ride. Some may need a helping hand to walk from their front door to the vehicle, while others may need someone to ride with them or stay with them at their destination. TrustedRide Certified is a model that recruits and trains volunteer chaperones to ride along with older adults and people with disabilities who need assistance to ride.
The webinar will describe how this model works in conjunction with different types of transportation and highlight the experiences of two local programs – in Baltimore, MD and South Central Connecticut – that are using this approach. This webinar is co-sponsored by NADTC and Community Care Corps.
