New! FTA Section 5310 Resource Hub From NADTC

Looking for tools to support your Section 5310-funded projects? Check out NADTC’s newly launched FTA Section 5310 Resource Hub—a one-stop-shop for planning, applying for and implementing 5310 initiatives. The Hub brings together key materials from NADTC, along with resources from FTA, CCAM and National RTAP, making it easier than ever to find what you need in one place.

Happening Now

National Preparedness Month: At NADTC, we’re committed to ensuring that older adults and people with disabilities have access to safe, reliable transportation—especially during emergencies. National Preparedness Month is a great time to review your transportation plans, check in with local providers and make sure your community is ready to respond when it matters most.

National Falls Prevention Awareness Month: September 2226 is National Falls Prevention Awareness Week, hosted by the National Council on Aging. Why is this important to transportation providers? A AAA Foundation Traffic Safety study finds that older drivers with a history of falling are 40 percent more likely to be involved in vehicle crashes than their peers. Collaborate with your local aging program who provides falls prevention classes and present your transportation information to their participations. This is another collaboration to inform those who may really benefit from your services. Also, be sure to check out NADTC's tip sheets and brochure on Falls Prevention Awareness and Prevention and Tip Sheet for Riders and Drivers.
