In 2019-20, 4,061 advisory board members served 620 NAF academies . Data can help tell a detailed story about the academy(ies) you serve and support your efforts in recruiting internship partners for summer 2020. Visit ASH to view the data for NAF and the academy(ies) you support.

NAF ALUMNUS SHINES AT THE CAREER DEVELOPMENT NATIONAL SUMMIT

Antonio Smith, NAF Alumni Leadership Council member and KPMG Deal Advisory and Strategy Associate (NYC) represented NAF on the Young Adult Panel at the National Career Development Summit hosted by the Coalition for Career Development on January 8th in Washington, D.C. Below are some of Antonio’s inspiring remarks, and a tweet from NAF about the panel . Thank you, Antonio and all the advisory board members and educators that has supported his career journey!

“NAF doesn’t stop at high school. It provides opportunity and counseling through college and career.”

“NAF helped me to understand the skills I need for the seat I want to have at the table and allowed me to take the steps to the place I wanted to go."

Do you have a star alumni at your academy? Encourage them to advocate for your academy at events and panels just like Antonio! It's a great way for them to boost their resume, while also increasing NAF's awareness.

3RD REGIONAL ADVISORY BOARD ACTION PLANNING CONVENING

We’re grateful for the advisory board leaders who braved the winter storm to participate in NAF’s third regional advisory board action-planning convening in New York City on December 17th. Teams developed incredible action plans and shared best practices and strategies to overcome challenges.

As mentioned above, please keep an eye out for this year’s regional action planning convenings we plan to offer.

3 Regional Advisory Board Action Planning Convenings attended by over 100 advisory board members resulting in action plans focused on board and academy priorities. Teams traveled in from several hundred miles to convenings hosted in Dallas, Orlando, and New York City.

1 National Advisory Board Convening during NAF Next 2019 in Detroit attended by over 60 advisory board members who provided invaluable feedback and shared best practices with NAF’s CEO JD Hoye offering inspiring opening remarks and Detroit’s Mayor sharing insightful closing remarks.
