Announcing the Second Year of Raytheon Technologies' FIRST Grant for NAF Academies
Greetings!

We are excited to announce the second year of the FIRST Grant in partnership with Raytheon Technologies, where students have the opportunity to build upon their NAF AOF, AOE, and AOIT experiences through mentorship while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills.

Raytheon Technologies and NAF recognize that many students lack resources to participate in FIRST. To ensure access to this opportunity, Raytheon Technologies is providing grants and employee mentors to NAF Academies in select geographies to create more opportunity for access and equity for students in STEM. If you are interested in receiving a FIRST Grant, fill out the Raytheon Technologies Interest Form by Thursday, September 8, 2022.

To learn more about the grant, visit NAF's Raytheon Technologies FIRST Grant page where you will find an overview of the internship credit eligibility, grant information, and application process.

If you have questions, please email me, Soley Gonzalez, Director, Corporate Engagement & Relations.

In 2021, NAF and Raytheon Technologies partnered for the first time to provide the FIRST Grant. We are proud to announce the two FIRST Grant recipients of 2021 that made it to Worlds Championship: Edgewater High School from Orlando, FL to the Rookie Season (pictured on the top left) and Emmett J Conrad High School from Dallas, TX (pictured on the top right).
We additionally had the opportunity to host FIRST Tech teams in Puerto Rico (Elvira Colon Negron from Santa Isabel and Benito Cerezo Vazquez from Aguadilla) for the first time, where these academies were able to experience the FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX.
