"On behalf of the NAHCC Board of Directors, I congratulate the recipients of our 20th Annual Business & Community Excellence Awards. We are proud to honor those whose dedication has been vital to the growth and visibility of Hispanic businesses and the Nashville community. With Hispanics representing 11% of Nashville’s population and 7% of Tennessee’s, it’s crucial we continue to recognize and support Latino and small businesses to ensure they thrive," said Yuri Cunza, NAHCC President & CEO.

Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell delivered video remarks congratulating the NAHCC on its 20th annual awards and 25 years of contributions to the Nashville community. He highlighted the NAHCC's pivotal role in promoting economic diversity and Hispanic entrepreneurship, contributing to the city's growth by helping small businesses thrive. He emphasized the chamber’s efforts to connect entrepreneurs, foster strategic alliances, and promote financial best practices—values aligned with Nashville’s commitment to building an inclusive economy.
In addition to Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell's salute, ten-time Grammy winner, the legendary Arturo Sandoval, renowned for his virtuosity in both jazz and classical genres, appeared via video thanking the NAHCC for its work supporting the community. The NAHCC's 2024 Business & Community Excellence Awards not only recognized business success but also celebrated the impact of these leaders in inspiring the next generation. The sold-out event featured cultural performances, interactive artwork, and a fashion showcase.
Each year, award recipients are selected by an impartial committee in recognition of their outstanding contributions, notable achievements, and commitment to excellence in service, civic leadership, and support for the Hispanic business community and the city of Nashville.
For two decades, the practice of keeping recipients unaware of their recognition until the moment of the announcement has added a unique and memorable element to the event. Yuri Cunza, President and CEO of the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, reflects, "Participating without the expectation of receiving an award speaks to the genuine care and dedication of our attendees to the mission and the community we serve."
