Nashville Opportunity Fund director Thomas Sheffield addresses small business owners at NAHCC event
The Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation (NAHCCF) launched this week the "Businesses Leaders Meet & Greet Bilingual Minority Entrepreneur Engagement Series". This initiative aims to create a platform for networking and collaboration among business leaders in the Nashville area. The series, conducted in both English and Spanish, provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs, professionals, and community members to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships. By fostering a bilingual environment, the NAHCC Foundation in partnership with the NAHCC, and its extended network of contacts and strategic allies, aims to bridge cultural and linguistic gaps, promoting inclusivity and diversity within the local business community.

The networking series geared to engage small business in our local community will feature information about the Nashville Small Business Recovery Fund (NSBRF) programs with loans at 2% interest rate for small business located in Nashville and Davidson county. In 2022, Nashville Metro Council approved for $9 million to go towards grants and another $9 million for loans for small businesses impacted by the pandemic and to help the local economy bounce back. According to Nashville Opportunity Fund Director, Thomas Sheffield, who spoke at the inaugural chamber meeting, there are still a little over 5 million dollars available for loans which are administer by Pathway Lending.
