The Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NAHCC) is proud to announce our strategic partnership with Nashville Public Library and their new service, NPL Means Business, to provide guidance to Hispanic entrepreneurs through a seven-week workshop based around Who Owns the Ice House: Eight Life Lessons from an Unlikely Entrepreneur by Clifton Taulbert and Gary Schoeniger.
Nashville Public Library’s NPL Means Business is an initiative that seeks to create a more diverse and motivated entrepreneurial eco-system in Nashville with the library being an essential player in helping Nashville’s citizens discover and realize their dream business.
In seven bilingual sessions, participants will discuss Who Owns the Ice House, a business classic that enables prospective entrepreneurs to learn the underlying beliefs and behaviors that empower ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things and achieve richer lives, and enjoy lectures on other business-related topics.
Sessions will alternate weekly between discussion of the book and lectures led by a guest speaker. Every participant will be loaned a copy of the book in either English or Spanish for the duration of the series. Classes will be held at different Nashville Public Library locations, with a virtual option. Participants who attend at least five sessions will receive a certificate at the end of the series.
