State Chamber Update

I shared interesting Delaware trade data from the U.K. last week, and this week I want to forward information from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) regarding trade between Delaware manufacturers, Canada and Mexico. The NAM is pushing for passage (ratification) of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement that would replace the former North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA. A worksheet that outlines the relationship between manufacturers here and trade partners in Canada and Mexico can be viewed by clicking here.

News You Can Use

This is a very busy week for economic data. Today we’ll see personal income, consumer spending and core inflation numbers for the month of March. On Wednesday we’ll get ADP employment figures for April, and motor vehicle sales for April. On Thursday we’ll learn of factory orders for March, and wrap up the week on Friday with nonfarm payrolls, unemployment rate, and average hourly earnings for the month of April.
