NAMIWALKS Northwest will be held virtually May 22, 2021
11 AM PST
Join us for the Northwest’s largest mental health event, presented by Providence Health & Services, now online! We may be physically distant, but the virtual walk is a great way for us to stay connected. In 2020, we had thousands of participants joins us for a virtual walk “their way”: walking, hiking, spending time with family – doing a meaningful activity on a National Day of Hope. The events of 2020 have shown us that more than ever, our community is in need of NAMI’s services. Your continued support allows us to offer our programs at no cost to those who need them.
AND… for every $20 donation you make to our NAMI Central Oregon team, you get one entry into a drawing for this fantastic summer starter kit (or for some of us, a nice summer refresh kit). This Rumple Blanket will be sure to keep you warm on those chilly summer evenings, the Nomadix towel will keep you nice and dry on those summer lake days, and you will stay hydrated with this bright Sunflower Hydroflask. This basket values for over $155. We will have the drawing on May 22nd - watch our Facebook and Instagram for details about the live event!! *Be sure to list your full name with the donation

Solitary Confinement and Mental Health Info Session
Meesha Blair, NAMI Southern Oregon’s Advocacy Chair, will be hosting an informational session about the conditions and repercussions of solitary confinement in prisons, as well as the populations at higher risk for solitary confinement, and its impact on mental health. There will be time for Q & A.
This info session will be the first step in developing a committee aimed at creating policy that severely limits the usage of solitary confinement due to its impact on incarcerated folks’ mental health. If you cannot attend but want to be a part of the committee, the info session will be recorded for your viewing.
The info session is on Tuesday, May 18 from 6:00-7:00 pm Pacific time. Registration is required.
Register in advance for this meeting:
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
