NAMI/Diversion Court Alliance thanks City of Ocala
The people in the Circuit 5 Diversion Courts (such as Mental Health Court and Drug Court) are working very hard to get their lives back on track. Sometimes the smallest thing can become an obstacle, like a flat tire or a deposit on an apartment. NAMI and the Diversion Courts have teamed up to create an emergency fund to help court participants with small emergencies. Thank you to the City of Ocala for being the first to step up and help us start this fund. We continue to accept additional donations for this fund. If you would like to learn more, please contact us.

Be a "friend" at The Vines and/or The Centers.

People are often confused and concerned when they arrive at The Vines or The Centers. You can be a smiling face and help NAMI Marion County inform patients and their families about NAMI membership, advocacy, support groups and education classes. We need people to take two-hour shifts during the week in the Outpatient Department lobbies of both hospitals. Training provided! Shifts are two hours each between 10 am and 4 pm weekdays.
