NAMI Sno-Isle to Cease Operations

Due to a lack of volunteers and sustainable funding, the board of directors of NAMI Sno-Isle (NAMI Snohomish and Island Counties) made the difficult decision to dissolve our non-profit organization effective December 31, 2025. We are no longer able to effectively maintain operations and fulfill our mission of education, support, awareness and advocacy around issues of mental illness.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, passion and tireless efforts of every volunteer, member, and partner over the past 42 years. We can all be proud of the positive impact and the differences we’ve made in individual and family lives.

Our current programming runs through December 31, 2025. Beginning in January 2026, two of our in-person support groups will be absorbed under another affiliate, NAMI Eastside. The Connection Recovery Support Group will continue meeting on the second and fourth Tuesdays at Verdant Health Commission in Lynnwood at 7 pm to 8:30 pm. The Whidbey Island Family Support Group will continue to meet in Freeland at Trinity Lutheran Church’s small building on the third Wednesday of each month at 1 pm to 2:30.

A list of all of the NAMI support groups in Washington, many of which are held online, is available at www.namiwa.org/support-groups. There are many other local NAMI affiliates in Washington state that are active and providing excellent services and programs. A list of NAMI affiliates is available at www.namiwa.org/local-affiliates.

We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to each of you who have helped to create this community of care.
