Women's Media Center
The Women's Media Center report "The Status of Women of Color in the U.S. News Media 2018" offers a rare look at where women journalists of color are - and aren't - in legacy print, radio, TV, and digital news.

Allen's Entertainment Studios Inc. bought the network from Blackstone Group, Bain Capital and Comcast Corp., according to a statement Thursday. The price was approximately $300 million, according to a person familiar with the terms who wasn't authorized to speak publicly and asked not to be identified. That's a fraction of what the larger company sold for a decade ago.
Black Enterprise
JPMorgan Chase is investing $1 million into black and Hispanic women-led startups. This investment is part of the bank's $150 million Small Business Forward initiative, which is committed to supporting small businesses owned by underserved women, minorities, and veterans.

There is work to do. That's one of the conclusions to be drawn from a new scorecard of ethnic and gender diversity in the ranks of chief marketing officers. The new survey was tallied by the Association of National Advertisers.

Multicultural Marketing Resources
Women of color make up just 3% of the C-suite (71% are still white men) as a study from LeanIn.Org and McKinsey & Co. describes it. There's a "political ambition gap" according to a Women's Caucus report called  Not Making it Here: Why Women are Underrepresented in the NYC Council, a stunning reflection of how things are no less than from the world's capital.

Vanity Fair
The business world has long been a boys' club. Women C.E.O.s and founders of color make up a small portion of entrepreneurs who have reached the top. Each one of the women in this group tableau has raised $1 million or more in outside capital, breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings along the way.

Telemundo continues its push to gain ground in digital programming and expand its reach to younger audiences. The network announced it has teamed up with global video community to develop and launch a series of new digital entertainment programs targeting the Latino Generation Z, described as post-millennial, predominantly bilingual and tech-native.

ABC News
Besides listing the many titles Williams wears -- record-breaker, icon, mogul, wife, mother -- the brief clip shows Williams working out while pregnant, spending time with baby Alexis Olympia, exchanging vows with her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, making business decisions for her brand and, of course, smashing balls on the tennis court.

"Finally, we are seeing something long overdue: national recognition of female leaders and appreciation of, and for, their widespread achievements," said Dan Abrams, host of 60 Days In and Live PD, as he opened A+E Networks' upfront presentation at the New York Public Library.

The campaign aimed to connect with Hispanic consumers looking for ways to find value without compromising quality, drive traffic and sales lifts in Houston locations, and support brand affinity among the Hispanic segment nationally by showcasing McDonald's' commitment to supporting the Hispanic community, reports Natalie Asorey, a supervisor at the Miami-based Boden agency, which spearheaded the campaign.
