A part of the American Rescue Plan that passed in March 2021, included a $9.961 billion fund to support homeowners struggling due to a pandemic-related hardship such as a job loss, decline in income, or caring for an ill family member.

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority will begin accepting applications for the Indiana Homeowner Assistance Fund (IHAF) in early 2022.
