Registration is required in order to participate. Here is the LINK to the agenda. And here is the LINK for registration.

THE FACTS MATTER

As it became clear that the Short-Term Rental Work Group needed more time to obtain real data, the Select Board recently committed to a fall Town Meeting at which the group is expected to make their recommendations. NAREB is working with a consultant to collect, parse and aggregate the real data about vacation rentals on Nantucket. We are committed to providing factual, verifiable information to the Work Group so that they can make the most informed recommendations. Our community deserves comprehensive analysis.

DEP ISSUES NEW TITLE V REQUIREMENTS

The state has updated the septic regulations which can be found HERE. The good news for Nantucket is that Roberto Santamaria, Director of the Health Department, when asked about the local impact, said this: "We are very much ahead of the state. It won't affect us tremendously, but there are a few things that might. It depends on what water bodies they define as nutrient sensitive and what timeline they decide to use for the island. Right now they are focusing on the Cape". Stay tuned for more information as it develops.
