2015 Webinar Series
NASCA's Programs Committee is hard at work preparing the topical webinar series for 2015. The webinars provide an opportunity for members and partner associations to share best practices, as well as discuss current issues that states are facing.


The first in the series was on Cybersecurity. The slides and recording are now available in NASCA's online resource center under Information Technology.

NASCA Committees
NASCA has a variety of committees and all members are welcome to participate. Email Shawn Vaughn to join a committee or learn more.
Awards Committee (New in 2015)
The Awards Committee was established to create the criteria and standards for the new NASCA awards program. The committee will also review and score submissions. The committee will meet monthly. Meets monthly for approximately 6 months.

Transition Working Group (New in 2015)

The Transition Working Group is planning a transition webinar to assist newly appointed state chief administrators (Feb 2015 timeframe), plus established the transition webpage. The working group meets at least once per month, but possibly twice a month if needed.


Programs Committee

The Programs Committee plans value-added content for both state and corporate association members by planning quarterly webinars or conference calls on relevant topics, quarterly corporate member roundtable conference calls and Regional Summits. This committee typically meets once per month, but possibly twice if needed.


Institute Planning CommitteeThe Institute Committee is charged with developing relevant and actionable programming, in partnership with the Leadership for a Networked World (LNW) at Harvard University, which is in line with members' priorities, in an innovative manner for the association's annual event, the Institute on Management and Leadership. They also help coordinate with AMR and the host state regarding logistics for the Institute. The committee meets monthly. 


Marketing and Recruitment Committee

The Marketing and Recruitment Committee is responsible for increasing the visibility and prestige of the association as well as increasing the number of dues-paying state and corporate members, plus securing more institute sponsors. The committee typically meets every other month.
