Tyler Young Racing For Tourettes Syndrome This Saturday
Rougemont, N.C. - (December 13, 2012) - NASCAR Camping World Truck Series racer Tyler Young and nearly two-dozen other racers from across the sport will come together in a special "Race For Tourettes" Pro Challenge All-Star Race at The Pit indoor kart racing facility in Mooresville, N.C. this Saturday, December 15th beginning at 10am.
This unique event is centered around go-kart racer Trey Shannon's attempt to set his second Guinness World Record for 24-hours on a go-kart. Shannon set the outdoor record last year and is now attempting the indoor record. The Pro Challenge All-Star Race was created to help raise awareness for Tourettes Syndrome, a neurological disorder from which Shannon suffers along with an estimated 200,000 other people across the United States.
"Trey is a cool guy and it sounds like this event is going to be a lot of fun," Tyler said. "I was humbled to be asked to be part of it. I hope all of our Rev-Oil Pro Cup and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series fans will stop out on Saturday morning and hang out with us. I think they have over 20 racers scheduled to compete in the Pro race plus we'll have an autograph session so I'm sure it will be a competitive, crazy and really entertaining morning for the fans and it's all for a really important cause."
