The Wednesday, September 20, School Board Combined Meeting agenda is now available on BoardDocs. The Student Wellness and Safety Committee Meeting will meet at 6:00 p.m. and the Regular Meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Central Administration Office (CAO) Board Room.

Safe2Say Something

NASD participates in Safe2Say Something (S2SS), which is a school safety tool for staff, students, and communities to anonymously report unsafe, potentially harmful, dangerous, violent, or criminal activities in a school entity or the threat of activities in a school entity. Through Safe2Say Something (S2SS), students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members will be able to submit an anonymous tip through the Safe2Say Something system in one of three ways:

• A mobile app, which is available for download on Apple and Android devices for free
• The Safe2Say Something website, www.safe2saypa.org
• A 24/7 phone line, 1-844-SAF2SAY (1-844-723-2729)

Grade Alert Email Notifications in PowerSchool for Students Grades 6-12

For students in grades 6-12, PowerSchool has a feature for parents/guardians to receive email alerts when a new grade is available in PowerSchool. This feature can be accessed under “Email Notification.”

Student Absence Form Now Available in PowerSchool

North Allegheny School District is accepting student absence excuses electronically through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Information for parents/guardians can be found on our website.

NASD Homecoming Parade: September 29, 2023

Parading through the decades! As North Allegheny celebrates its 75th Anniversary, join us as students travel back through the decades during this year’s homecoming parade on Friday, September 29, 2023. The festivities begin at 4:45 p.m. with a carnival and food trucks. At 5:40 p.m. the NA Tiger Marching Band will lead the parade around the school. During halftime, our 2023 Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.

NA Transportation Career Open House

The North Allegheny Transportation Department plays a crucial role in the lives of our students and community. NA is looking for bus drivers to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond! Sign-On Bonus:

• Available to all new bus drivers hired or rehired between August 21, 2023, and October 31, 2023, as utility, retiree, extra board, or full-time bus drivers as follows:
• $1,000 sign-on bonus for drivers who commit to work a daily afternoon shift for the rest of this school year.
• $2,000 sign-on bonus for drivers who commit to work a daily morning and afternoon shift for the rest of this school year.

Publishing Student Works and Photographs/Videos on the Internet

If you do not want your child’s recording, picture, or video displayed on the North Allegheny School District’s website or in any other District or school/classroom-based publication/communication/social media during the school year, please send a written request to the main office at your child’s school by Friday, September 29, 2023

NASH Tennis Court Closures
