NASD Board of School Directors Seeking Applicants for Vacancy

The North Allegheny Board of School Directors is looking to fill a Director vacancy. School Boards have three essential functions: Planning, Setting Policy, and Evaluating the results. Applications are due Friday, October 7 at 4:00 p.m. The selected person for this vacancy will fill the role from October 19, 2022, through December 2023. Anyone interested in filling the seat is encouraged to complete an application available on our website.

Free Breakfast at NA Middle & High Schools

Beginning October 1, breakfast is free for all NA middle and high school students. Elementary breakfast is offered through the YMCA programs. Free breakfast will be available through the end of the 2022-2023 school year. This does not affect a student’s eligibility status for lunch (free, reduced, and paid).

NA 2022 Homecoming Parade

Friday, October 7, 2022

Your journey after North Allegheny might take you around the world, but you can always come home! Join us for an “Around the World”-themed homecoming parade on Friday, October 7, 2022, at North Allegheny Senior High School. The festivities begin at 4:45 p.m. with a carnival and food trucks. At 5:40 p.m. the NA Tiger Marching Band will lead the parade around the school in their new band uniforms! At halftime, our 2022 Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned. We hope to see you there!

Homecoming Football Game T-Shirts for Elementary Students

Order through October 4 

The NA TigerTHON Student Leadership Team will be selling t-shirts to elementary students to wear during the NASD Homecoming Football game on Friday, October 7. The t-shirt purchases help TigerTHON raise money and support pediatric cancer research.

T-shirts are on sale now through Tuesday, October 4. Each shirt is $20 and payments can be made by check only, made out to NASH. Please put your student’s name in the memo line. Checks can be sent to:

North Allegheny iPad/Laptop Insurance Program

Devices must be enrolled by October 10

You have the opportunity to renew or sign up for the annual insurance program for your student’s District-issued iPad or laptop. Membership in the insurance program is an annual process and covers the device throughout the school year, the following summer, and into the start of the following year. If you were enrolled in the insurance program during the 2021-2022 school year, your coverage will end as of midnight on October 10, 2022, unless you renew.

Whether you plan to accept or decline the coverage, you must enroll your student's device annually at One2OneRisk.com.Your enrollment is required on or before October 10, 2022. The process for accepting or declining is available on the District website.

The Gold Card Member performance on Wednesday, October 12 is free for members - no ticket required! For all other shows, guests must purchase tickets at the door for $8 (no reserved seating).

Join us for a Spooktacular Time! The annual NA Foundation Trick or Trot will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Marshall Middle/Elementary Schools Campus. NA Athletic Hall of Fame Inductions

On Thursday, October 6, the North Allegheny Athletic Hall of Fame will be honoring and inducting 15 former student-athletes, coaches, and contributors into our Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame Banquet will be held at The Chadwick beginning with a social hour at 5:00 p.m. and the banquet at 6:00 p.m. Visit the NA Athletics website for the list of nominees and ticket order form. Tickets are available through noon on Monday, October 3.
