The Ashura Day Headcount Project was a collaborative initiative undertaken by the World Federation and NASIMCO to conduct a comprehensive headcount during the Ashura observance. This unique project brought together various Member Jamaats from across North America to participate.

The primary goal of this project was to gather accurate data regarding the number of participants in Ashura commemorations within these Jamaats. By doing so, it aimed to better understand the scale and impact of Ashura observances within the North American Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslim community.

For those Jamaats who have not been able to complete the Headcount, Arbaeen provides another opportunity to do so.

NASIMCO launched its Annual Ali Asghar Water Appeal this Muharram, honoring the memory of Hazrat Ali Asghar (AS) by providing much-needed access to clean water in arid regions of East Africa. 

This campaign seeks to construct water wells and implement solar-powered water systems in communities that suffer from water scarcity and drought conditions.



Over the past five years, NASIMCO has provided tens of thousands of beneficiaries with clean drinking water through the generous support of our donors.
