NASN is excited to welcome you to Austin! Please review the details in this email, as they will answer many of your questions. Please plan to wear smart casual attire and comfortable shoes. Thank you for joining us — safe travels.

Meal and Food Planning

Meals are mainly on your own. However, NASN will provide complimentary coffee and tea each morning, as well as a boxed lunch in the exhibit hall on June 27. Here are food references we've curated for you:

Download eventScribe from your app store. Once downloaded, search for NASN.


Use the app to navigate the conference schedule and exhibitor directory. Receive notifications during the conference for alerts and reminders about conference happenings. Participate in general session polls, take notes, access session slides, and connect to post-session assessments and evaluations to earn NCPD contact hours.


Please check your email for messages posted on the conference discussion list, and listen for announcements before and after general sessions.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Check in at the registration desk, located on the fourth floor. Print your badge and collect your conference program. Hold on to your program; it includes your Exhibit Hall Passport Game Card and more!


Check-in date and time

The registration desk opens at 4 PM on Tuesday, June 24, and will also open at 7 AM on the following days.


NOTE: If you have purchased a ticket for an educational session on Wednesday, June 25th, the preconference day, plan to pick up your badge at the registration desk before going to your session. You will need to scan your badge to have access to the session.

SESSIONS AND NCPD

Schedule: Refer to the conference program and app for the full schedule.


Slides and Handouts: These are located in the event app. Open a session and select the SLIDES icon at the bottom of the screen. Most sessions have slides, but general sessions may not. View slides or share them with yourself using the SHARE icon above the slides.

 

Attending Sessions: General Session seating will be theater style; attendees will seat themselves. Breakout sessions will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be four, five, or six breakout sessions to choose from in a breakout time frame. If you need seating assistance, please contact the NASN conference team at conference@nasn.org.


Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) Contact Hours: Please review the instructions to successfully complete this NCPD program. You will have 90 days to complete assessments and evaluations for sessions to earn NCPD credit. The deadline for completion is October 10, 2025.

RSVP TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR SERVICE PROJECT

You're invited to the Party with a Purpose service project and happy hour, hosted by Asthma and Allergy Impact and Rescue (AAIR), on Friday, June 27, at 6 PM. Spaces for this event are limited, so learn more and secure your spot.

WHEN YOU'RE NOT IN THE CLASSROOM

Braindate: Meet and learn from new people at NASN2025! Find the Braindate tile in the mobile app and schedule time for a 1:1 or small group meet-up in the Braindate Lounge during exhibit hall hours.



Data Walk: An interactive way to share data and research critical to school nurses, school health, NASN, and our members. Follow the map in your conference program to complete the Data Walk and participate in the daily data polls in the event app for a chance to win a prize!


Online Bookstore: As a special offer for registered attendees, shipping fees will be waived* for orders placed June 25 – 29, 2025. Place your order from your mobile device or laptop. Orders will be shipped after the conference ends. *Offer not available for international shipping. Browse titles in the online bookstore. School Nursing: A Comprehensive Text, Fourth Edition will be released on June 26.


Affiliate Night Out: The conference is an excellent time to connect with colleagues in your state or area. Please contact your state or Affiliate president to learn about any planned meet-ups, and read the discussion list to see if your Affiliate has posted information about meeting plans.


NASN's Lily Awards and After Party: Join us for a night of celebration and dancing on Thursday, June 26, at 7:30 PM. The event begins with an awards ceremony celebrating the achievements of school nurses and other school health champions, followed by a DJ-led dance extravaganza.


Satchels and Purses for Nurses Silent Auction: This online-only, anytime-bidding auction allows you to bid on bags and accessories right from your phone or mobile device. You can also browse auction items on the fourth floor near The NASN Hub.


TSNO Merch Market: The TSNO Merch Market team hopes you have a memorable experience, including the opportunity to purchase a variety of merchandise to commemorate your time! The team will raffle off a basket of goodies for one lucky winner to take home. If you pre-ordered merchandise, you will pick it up in The NASN Hub.


Headshot Lounge: Enhance your professional presence with a polished, up-to-date, complimentary headshot—Look for signs in the exhibit hall!


Product Theater Sessions: Don't miss these sessions hosted by vendors (nonaccredited). They are anxious to share their products and programs with you. Many will have giveaways for attendees.


More to Look Forward to in the Exhibit Hall: Meet the Incoming NASN President, meet our Journal Editors, engage with NASN team members, and participate in the Exhibit Hall Passport Game for a chance to win a multitude of fabulous prizes.

FOR YOUR HEALTH

  • Promenade with the President each morning on June 26 - 29.


  • Participate in morning fitness events on June 26 - 28 (offered in addition to Promenade with the President). The June 29 fitness event will be self-guided.



  • Remember your medical ID bracelet if you have one.


  • Friendly reminder to use sunscreen.


  • Layer your clothing to adjust for air-conditioned rooms.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

Annual Meeting:

This year, be prepared to have your badge scanned upon entering the meeting. All members will be seated with their respective delegation. During voting, members having an Active membership type should stand to cast their votes. Members with an Active membership type will have a "checkmark" displayed on their badge. Please review your membership status in advance.

[NOTE: Non-members are welcome to attend and will be seated in a visitors' section.]


Sponsor Room Door Drops:

On Friday, June 27, you will receive two special promotional items at your hotel room door, courtesy of our generous Conference Sponsors. Rest assured, your hotel information has remained confidential and has not been shared with any sponsors. The hotel staff will handle the delivery without entering your room.
