NASSM 2019 Award Winners
Each year, NASSM honors individuals who have made significant contributions in the areas of scholarship, service, teaching and learning, and diversity and inclusion. We are excited to announce this year's award winners, who will be acknowledged at NASSM 2019 in New Orleans. Congratulations!



The Zeigler Award is the most prestigious NASSM award and it recognizes  significant contributions to the field in terms of scholarship, research, leadership, and peer recognition. This year's recipient is Dr. Jennifer McGarry, Professor at the University of Connecticut.




The Garth Paton Distinguished Service Award annually recognizes a member's outstanding service contributions to NASSM. This year's recipient is Dr. Timothy DeSchriver, Associate Professor at the University of Delaware.




The Distinguished Sport Management Educator award recognizes exceptional contributions to teaching and learning. This year's recipient is Dr. Mark Lyberger, Associate Professor at Kent State University




The Diversity Award recognizes exceptional contributions to promote diversity and inclusion within NASSM and related sport management disciplines. This year's recipient is Dr. John Singer, Associate Professor at Texas A&M University.
