Therapy Across the Stages of Dementia

Individual + Caregiver Family Therapy From

Mild Cognitive Impairment to Advanced Dementia

Friday, June 26, 2026

10-5:30 PM ET

Live Via Zoom

Therapists and Social Workers are increasingly on the front lines of dementia care — yet most received little to no training on how to provide therapy to people living with dementia and their families.

This workshop is a practical, heart-centered, 6-hour continuing education workshop that bridges the gap between what we know about dementia and what we actually do in the therapy room.

You'll learn individual therapy approaches that preserve identity, dignity, and quality of life at every stage. And you'll develop family therapy skills for the full arc of the caregiving journey — because dementia reshapes an entire family system, not just one person.

You'll leave knowing how to help individuals optimize brain health when living with dementia, and help families navigate ambiguous loss, understand the stages of dementia and caregiving, and have the difficult conversations. You'll also gain practical frameworks for the most common family dilemmas: balancing autonomy with safety — from driving cessation to living arrangements to medication management.

"Phenomenal workshop. The examples used were relatable, applicable and relevant to my current practice and life and will vastly expand how I am able to assist several clients.”
