I HATE writing notes.. and you know you do too! We went to school to be clinicians, NOT authors!! And while in school, we learned all about clinical theories, diagnosis, interventions, etc., but clinical documentation was not part of any of our programs. Now here we are, most of us in private practice, writing notes the way we think they should be written with very little guidance from insurance companies.
If you are in private practice and you accept insurance then you NEED to know how to write notes. Insurance companies can audit your charts at anytime and if your documentation doesn't meet their guidelines then you'll be giving back your hard earned money.. and A LOT of it!!
This is an interactive course that includes example of a biopsychosocial, progress note, treatment plan, and treatment plan update from a real client's chart using a SOAP template; examples of measurable vs. non measurable treatment plan objectives, audit tools, and more!
