Association of Latina/Latino Social Work
Educators Scholarships
Seven scholarships were granted ($1,000.00 each) to BSW, MSW, DSW, and PhD students across the United States. The board made sure to select students from seven different states and academic institutions. Rocío López, LCSW, DSW student, class of 21, from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) was selected as a scholarship recipient,.

Our Mission: The mission of the Association of Latino/Latina Social Work Educators (ALLSWE) is to support the advancement of social work education especially among the Latino population. It is a self-governing organization with guaranteed mechanisms for participation and representation in all matters that will affect the work done in education and research in the field of social work and will promote professional knowledge of its' members.

Our Vision: Our ultimate goal is to enhance the lives of all Latinas/os by supporting Latina/o faculty and students to better their communities.

Annual Conference Call for Proposals
NASW-FL invites proposals for workshops and posters for our Annual Conference, June 17-19, 2021. This year the Conference may be ​in-person, virtual or a hybrid.

The deadline to submit proposals is January 15, 2021.

Social Worker Award Nominations
The National Association of Social Workers, Florida Chapter (NASW-FL) established annual Social Work Awards to honor outstanding professionals and members of the community at the local, state, and national level. Awards are given in the following categories:

  • Social Worker of the Year (Must be a current NASW-FL member)
  • Social Work Student of the Year (Must be a current NASW-FL member and enrolled in a ​CSWE-accredited social work program in FL)
  • Social Work Educator of the Year  (Must be a current NASW-FL member who is affiliated with a ​CSWE-accredited social work program in Florida as a faculty member, adjunct, or field instructor)
  • Public Citizen of the Year (Must not be a social worker or have a degree in social work)
  • Elected Official of the Year (Must be a current local, state or federal elected official)

The deadline is January 15, 2021.
