NASW-RI Statement on Terrorist Attacks in Israel
The NASW – RI Chapter strongly condemns Hamas and the horrific attacks they facilitated over the past few days in Israel. We mourn the loss of the lives of the innocent that have been taken both in Israel and in Palestine as a result of this terrorism. We want to offer our support to all of those impacted. As Social Workers, our values are rooted in service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity and competence. As we grieve together as a community, we will continue to use these values to work towards a day when terrorism ceases and there is peace, security, safety, and justice for all.
