Call for Chapter Leadership!

Do you know a social worker who should help lead NASW-WA's work?

Apply or nominate someone today! Chapter Board o positions are open for nomination, and we need to hear from YOU who should lead our Chapter and represent Washington's social workers. Our Chapter Board determines WA Chapter programming, develops local and state-wide initiatives, and informs the overall direction of the Chapter. Our Board of Directors bring dedication, experience, and determination to make our Association better for ALL social workers.⁠ The following Board positions are available for our upcoming election this spring:
  
  • Chapter President-Elect - 3 year term (1 as President-Elect, 2 as President)
  • First Vice President – 2 year term
  • Board Secretary - 2 year term
  • Eastern Washington Geographical Region Rep. – 2 year term 
  • Western Washington Geographical Region Rep. – 2 year term 
  • MSW Student Representative – 1 year term
  • BSW Student Representative – 1 year term

Each March, NASW-WA honors the accomplishments of social workers and community members during our Social Work Month Celebration.

Save the Date: 2022 NASW-WA Policy Conference

NASW Washington State Chapter includes our Legislative Action Committee (LAC). The LAC sets legislative priorities and assists the Chapter in carrying out legislative goals. Each year, the LAC hosts the NASW-WA Policy Conference.

In 2022, the Chapter will host the NASW-WA Policy Conference on a virtual platform. The virtual program will feature speakers from the Legislature and policy professionals, NASW-WA's policy agenda, and activities to increase knowledge about the legislative process. Save the Date for February 21, 2022. Registration will open later this year!
