NASWA and DOD MSEP MEMBERSHIP

NASWA was one of 42 companies inducted as a new Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) member on October 22. MSEP now includes 431 partners who are committed to recruiting, hiring, promoting and retaining military spouses for employment opportunities. Other new MSEP members include Deloitte Consulting, FlexJobs, Google, and LinkedIn. Lori Adams, NASWA Veterans Policy Director, represented NASWA at the induction ceremony and partner meeting.

UI ITSC

UI ITSC Steering Committee

The Unemployment Insurance Information Technology Support Center (UI ITSC) Steering Committee met October 17-18, 2019 in Washington, D.C. The committee welcomed its newest member, Kevin Burt (UT) and met with Assistant Secretary John Pallasch and Chief of Staff Amy Simon to share and discuss the opportunities and challenges for UI IT modernization. Members include both those from state workforce agencies and members from USDOL.

Benefit Accuracy Measurement (BAM) Online Training for Investigators and Supervisors – Now Available

USDOL released TEN 6-19 announcing the availability of the Benefit Accuracy Measurement (BAM) Online Training for Investigators and Supervisors developed in partnership with USDOL and UI ITSC.

This online training is comprised of three courses: BAM Basic Investigator, BAM Intermediate Investigator, and BAM Supervisor.

New SIDES Exchange Released

UI State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES) has released the Additional Fact-Finding exchange enabling states to complete follow-up fact-finding electronically with employers and/or Third-Party Administrators (TPAS). States can submit up to 10 unique questions for follow-up on an initial Separation Information, Earnings Verification and/or Monetary & Potential Charges request.

Two hundred state and partner members attended the webinar on October 9 ^th to preview the exchange and learn about the technical requirements for implementation. The recording of the webinar can be accessed by logging into the members section of info.uisides.org .
