Alabama DOL is in immediate need of Administrative Hearings Officers to fill REMOTE POSITIONS
 
The Alabama DOL is in immediate need to fill dozens of REMOTE POSITIONS in our Hearings & Appeals Division. We’ve been given permission to hire employees who hold certifications in other states and we need your help!

Qualified applicants will have at least one year experience in a state UI agency, and a degree from an ABA approved school of law. Salary ranges from $45,600 to $52,800. Please send qualified candidates our way ASAP. Visit personnel.alabama.gov, the links below, or contact Tara Hutchison or Renee Minor.

STATE TECHNOLOGY PROFILES

Workforce ITSC’s State Technology Profiles suggest that most states procure a single system to operationalize WIOA programs rather than multiple systems that operate in tandem.

UI ITSC DELIVERS UI IT MODERNIZATION TRAINING TO NV, PA AND GA

In July and August, UI ITSC staff delivered training to multiple states. The Business Analyst (BA) Boot Camp training was delivered virtually to 26 staff from Nevada. Virtual training was also provided to 20 staff from Pennsylvania on User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Finally, an in-person training was held for 22 staff from Georgia covering elements of both BA Bootcamp and
UAT.

WORKFORCE POLICY DIRECTOR PARTICIPATES IN PANEL CELEBRATING NATIONAL SECURE DATA SERVICE

Yvette Chocolaad, NASWA’s Workforce Policy Director, was a voice for state agencies during a live, national panel celebrating the new National Secure Data Service (NSDS) established under the Inflation Reduction Act.

NASWA'S REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIP & WORK-BASED LEARNING (RA-WBL) GROUP
The Registered Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning (RA-WBL) Group met virtually on June 23rd with over 50 people in attendance representing more than 30 states.

31 STATES NOW PARTICIPATING IN HILTON PROGRAM FOR VETERANS; NEW CONTACT EMAIL CREATED
NASWA’s partnership with Hilton Worldwide™ is making the career transition easier for Veterans, military spouses and Transitioning Service Members.

The Hilton Honors™ Military Program provides 100,000 hotel points to eligible Transitioning Service Members, military spouses and Veterans to support needed travel for verifiable employment related activities, such as a job search, training for a new job, or finding housing.
