March 11th Montreal Event with Major-General Dany Fortin
The NATO Association of Canada will be supporting an event at the University of Montreal led by the previous commander to the NATO Mission in Iraq
This event will centre on the NATO Mission in Iraq, which was being led by Major-General Fortin before Major-General Carignan assumed the role in November. He will be discussing his experiences leading this mission on March 11th in Montreal. Save the date!

The NATO Association Of Can ada and Canadian Forces College Foundation will be Co-Hosting an event on global security and emerging threats
6PM at the Canadian Forces College - 215 Yonge Blvd.

You are invited to join the NATO Association of Canada and Canadian Forces College Foundation for an intimate discussion with Hanna Hopko. She chaired the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament from 2014 to 2019. In 2014, Foreign Policy magazine named Ms. Hopko a “Leading Global Thinker”. She is a member of the Young Global Leaders Networks of the World Economic Forum and Munich Security Conference and holds a PhD in Communications and Social Influence. Ms. Hopko is currently Chair of the 2020 Zero Corruption Conference—an international forum examining emerging threats to global security posed by corruption and money laundering.

This event will feature talks from experts on Iran who will be discussing updates about the NATO Mission and its importance

The moderated discussion will focus on the topic "From Nukes to Data Weapons: The Paradigm of the New Era"

March 5th Event with Jason Wiseman on Counter-Terrorism in the EU
The NAOC and the Canadian Forces College foundation worked together to host this great event . Previous NAOC intern, Jason Wiseman, who is now the Special Advisor to the European Parliament on Anti-Terrorism was a wonderful speaker and the event was a success! We loved hearing from Jason and hope to have more informative events like this in the future.
February 25th Event at Glendon School of Public and International Affairs
The NAOC joined the Glendon School of Public and International Affairs, the CIC and the Mosaic Institute on February 25 th  to discuss the changing political landscape and the role NATO plays in preserving peace and security and how Canada can contribute to the this civil-military alliance.

February 20th Montreal Event with HMCS Donnacona
What a fascinating presentation! The Naval Warfare in the Age of AI Presentation by Alexis Amini, Research Analyst of the NATO Association of Canada and Director of the Association's Transatlantic Innovation Centre, highlighted how artificial intelligence (AI) will revolutionize 21st century naval warfare and how Canada can harness its pioneering work in Machine Learning to modernize its naval fleet.

February 26th NAOC Intern Alumni Pub Night
On the evening of February 26th, the NAOC held a pub night for our current interns and intern alumni. Dr. Darrell Bricker and Steve Orsini also attended the event and were kind enough to talk to our NAOC interns about their careers and impart some wisdom, along with some lessons they learned throughout their professional lives during this gathering.

February 6th Montreal Event with Major Marie Andree Lavoie
On February 6th in Montreal the NAOC and the University Club of Montreal hosted an event with Major Marie Andree Lavoie, contingent to the United Nations Mission in Mali! We would like to thank to our co-host, the University Club of Montreal, and Major Lavoie for an engaging event!

On the evening of November 1st, 2019, the NATO Association of Canada Honoured Rt. Hon. Paul Martin, 21st Prime Minister of Canada for his dedication to supporting and improving the rules-based international order.
