AUGUST 20
free program; registration required
Eberhard and Donata Helmrich were Germans who stood up to Hitler and took great risks to rescue Jews. When later asked for the reason for their action they replied, “We figured that once we saved two people we’d be even with Hitler if we were caught, and every person saved beyond that would put us one ahead.” The film Two Trees in Jerusalem tells their story.
