Each year Xavier Parents for Xcellence (XPX) presents three awards to Xavier faculty and staff members. The “Xcellence in Teaching Award (XITA)” is presented each year to two outstanding teachers who have made a significant impact on students by challenging them with high expectations and assisting them in meeting those expectations. The “Xcellence in Staff Award (XISA)” is presented to one outstanding staff member. These teachers and staff members demonstrate a commitment to students, to Xavier High School and to Catholic Education. They are professional in their behavior and serve as role models in our school community.
The Xavier Booster Club’s XTRA Leadership Award was created to honor an outstanding Xavier High School mentor, coach, moderator or director of a Booster Club sponsored extra-curricular activity in athletics, fine arts or clubs outside of the classroom. The nominee may coach within any organized sport, fine arts program or organized club at any level.
Recipients of these awards are decided based on nominations that come in from students, faculty, staff, and parents in the Xavier community. These awards include a monetary gift and are presented at the Seniors Honor Assembly.
