No School Tomorrow (1/20)


Just a reminder that tomorrow, Monday, January 20 is a staff learning day, and school will not be in session. The offices will not be open this day as faculty and staff will be attending an off-campus faith retreat.

Catholic Schools Week


Catholic Schools Week is January 26 - February 1. It is a time for us to celebrate all that God has gifted to Catholic schools. We will celebrate here at Xavier through the following:



~ Morning prayer offered by special guests

~ Themed dress days:

  • Monday, 1/27 - Monochrome Monday - wearing all one color *bonus points if a Liturgical color is worn
  • Tuesday, 1/28 - Traditional Tuesday - navy polo with khaki pants (dress code for Mass)
  • Wednesday, 1/29 - Wacky Wednesday - mismatched socks, wacky hair, odd patterns, etc.
  • Thursday, 1/30 - Dad Day - dress like a dad
  • Friday, 1/31 - Spirit Day!

~ Mass on January 28 at 10:00 AM as one family with our middle schools. All are welcome to attend!

~ Metro Catholic Outreach Drive

Collecting personal care items to support MCO, such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, body wash, kleenex and paper towels.

Human Resources Specialist Responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, and providing comprehensive support of the human resources department. Required credentials include a relevant educational background and experience. A Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited four-year institution, along with two to three years of experience in payroll and benefits, is essential. Prior experience in human resources is also preferred.

Senior Photos Deadline


Seniors Photos for the yearbook will be due April 4th and can be emailed to Lauren Phillips at lauren.phillips@crxcs.org

Students should be in appropriate attire with no baseball caps.

24/25 Yearbooks


2024-2025 yearbooks can be purchased now through Jostens for $75. Yearbooks are available for purchase until the end of May, but the price goes up the longer you wait, so get yours now!

Activities Updates...

Mini Dance Marathon


It’s almost that time of year again: The Mini Dance Marathon is coming up soon! The goal of the MDM is to raise funds for the Iowa Children’s hospital to fight against and spread awareness of pediatric cancer. This year is especially important given one of our own classmates, Benny Jongquist, is fighting cancer. 


MDM will be held on Friday, February 21. Tickets for students to attend the event will be available soon! The first 25 tickets sold will get a gift card from Jersey Mike’s! Tickets will be $12, which includes admission, raffle tickets, and snacks.

Student Services Updates...

ACT District Exam (Juniors Only)

Xavier will host the ACT District Exam for interested juniors on March 11th from 7:45 am - 12:00 pm. Registration is completed outside of ACT.org. Please email from Anne Wallraff for complete details. Registration is due February 25th.

SLU Dual Credit Registration


Students taking dual credit courses have the option to register for dual credit through St. Louis University. Students and parents will be notified if they are eligible. We will hold a registration during RTI on January 30th and also be sending instructions on how to register.


Registration is due February 21st.

Concessions Help Needed for MVC Tournament


Xavier is hosting the MVC Boys Wrestling Tournament at Xavier on Saturday, February 1st.


Please consider volunteering and supporting XBC by working a concessions shift. When signing up be sure to note the sport or activity that you are representing in the coments section.

Faith Updates...

Kairos 53 Parent Meeting Reminder

K53 Mandatory Parent Meeting will be held in the Xavier Chapel on Monday, January 20 at 6:00 PM. One parent for each retreatant must attend!

“Gridshock” Event @ St. Elizabeth Ann Seton


Join us on January 22nd at 6 PM for a compelling event hosted by our Social Justice Committee, focusing on the critical issue of human trafficking. We’ll watch “Gridshock,” a powerful documentary filmed in Iowa that exposes the reality of human trafficking in our state. Following the screening, Chains Interrupted will lead a Q&A session to deepen our understanding and discuss actionable steps.


No registration is required; all adults and high school teens are welcome to come (teens must be accompanied by a parent due to graphic material).

FACTS Applications

The FACTS online application for STO opened on January 1st, with the deadline

being May 5, 2025. The application has been simplified! Parents must upload their 2024 federal tax return and other required schedules or tax documentation. These can be uploaded at any time during the application process so please get your application started as soon as possible. STO awards will be applied to tuition before ESA which could leave more ESA dollars in your students ESA/Odyssey account to use for future tuition. 



Families who applied last year will receive an email that the 25-26 applications are open. If families applied through FACTS last year, they should use the same username and password.

ESA Program Reminder - Important Due Date!


To maintain ESA eligibility for the rest of the 2024-25 school year, ESA participants must approve payment of tuition and fees within the Odyssey portal no later than February 1, 2025. The process to approve tuition and fees for the second half of the year is similar to the process for the first half of the year.  


  • Parent/Guardian action: log into Odyssey and approve or deny tuition and fees for the second half of the school year.
