Pie Donations Needed for Thanksgiving Meal

On Wednesday, November 20, Xavier will be having its annual Memorial Mass and Thanksgiving meal. As part of this tradition, XPX serves pie to the staff and students. Please see the following link if you would like to donate a pie to this event. All pies may be dropped off in the main office starting Tuesday, November 19th, from 7:30-12pm and Wednesday, November 20th, from 7:30-9:00am. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Schmit @ 329-3906 or kschmitpt@gmail.com.

At this time of Thanksgiving, XPX is especially thankful for all the support we receive from the Xavier Community to carry out our mission to support the staff and students of Xavier High School. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving/Memorial Mass

We will celebrate our annual Thanksgiving/Memorial Mass on Wednesday, November 20 at 9:50 AM. Guests are welcome to join us. These guests are the relatives of former LaSalle, Regis and Xavier students and faculty who have gone to their rest. Fr. Neil Manternach from St. Joseph will preside. Our guests will remain at Xavier for a short reception following our liturgy in the LMC. Parking will be available in the first two rows of the parking lot directly in front of Xavier High School (lot that faces 42nd Street.)

Our Mass collection will be for a HACAP, a community action agency serving 9 counties in Eastern Iowa. They embrace the philosophy of "a help up, not a handout" in our commitment to empower and improve the lives of families, living with the everyday barriers of poverty. Families with little to no income have a tough time during the holidays and are often in need of extra support. Monetary donations allow HACAP to be flexible in best meeting the needs of the families they serve in their programs.

If students and guests would like to contribute, please bring cash donations for the collection.
