Reminder: Join Us for Fall Fest 2024 on November 15th!

Please join us on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the DoubleTree in downtown Cedar Rapids for Xavier Catholic Schools’ Fall Fest. Fall Fest is a casual, fun-filled evening with casino games, food/dessert stations, signature drinks, silent/live auctions, and more! This event is raising funds to support technology upgrades and technology alignment in our PK-8 schools (All Saints, LaSalle Catholic, St. Joseph, St. Matthew, St. Pius X, Regis) and early learning centers.

Many Parent Donations Still Needed to Support Teachers During Conferences

Please consider signing up to donate items for our teachers during conferences. These are some long days for them, and MANY donations are still needed!

All donations can be dropped off outside the main office on the carts provided on Monday 10/28 or Wednesday 10/30 from 7:30am-12pm. Non-perishable items can also be dropped off early.

Freshmen to Attend JA Inspire Career Fair

All Freshman will be attending an offsite career exploration fair at the Alliant Powerhouse this Tuesday, October 22nd. Students with last names A-L will go in the morning and M-Z will go in the afternoon. If for any reason, you do not wish for your student to attend this event, please email Mr. Winterhof. 

Note: For any parents who may be interested in helping chaperone, please email Mr. Winterhof as soon as possible.

Kirkwood Healthcare Expo

On Thursday, October 31st from 9:00-11:00 AM, Linn Regional Center is hosting a Healthcare Expo for sophomore & junior students interested in the Kirkwood Health Science Career Academies next year. This event is designed to share information with students about the Health Care Academies, give them a chance to chat with health professionals, and demo some of the things that they can learn.

If your student is interested in attending, please have them email Mrs. Sires by October 25th.

Students will be transported to this event.

Don't Forget to Sign Up for Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences!

Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for:

• Monday, October 28th (3:30-8:30 PM)
• Wednesday, October 30th (3:30-8:30 PM)

Registration is now open. Instructions were mailed out on Friday, October 4th that included a personalized link to sign up. Please contact Anne Wallraff if you did not receive an email.

Speech Auditions

Speech Auditions will be held on Monday, November 4th and Thursday, November 7th from 4:30-6:00 PM in Room # 229.

Fall Musical Tickets

Join us at the fair! Tickets for the fall musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s State Fair will go on sale on Tuesday, October 15th at 8:00 AM. Reserve your seat and join the Frake family as they embark on a journey to the Iowa State Fair in hopes to bring home some blue ribbons and find romance. This lesser known classic will have you laughing, crying, and dancing in the seats. Come join us at the 1946 Iowa State Fair!

Tickets are $12 each and include all service fees. Tickets must be purchased online before the show. No tickets will be sold at the door and no activity passes are accepted.
