Due to Parent/Teacher Conferences this week the Saints Shop will have some changes to our regular afternoon hours - but we will be open during conferences!

• Wednesday: 3:30-8:30 PM

Mental Health & Disabilities Resource Fair

Marion Independent School District is planning their second annual Mental Health & Disabilities Resource Fair for all area families who have students with disabilities, mental health issues, and/or other differences that may impact daily life. This event will be held Tuesday, November 19th from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at Marion High School.  

This will be an open house event with all community resource tables set up in the gym. In addition, this year we are partnering with Linn Mar. Linn Mar is collaborating with Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services to schedule informational sessions for families to attend during the open house event in our school auditorium. Informational sessions will include the following topics: benefits planning, waiver information, self employment, and assistive technology.

Young Families: Connect with Early Catholic Family Life (ECFL)!

Do you want to connect with like-minded parents in a welcoming and supportive environment?  Are you looking for a small group opportunity where kids ages 0-5 (older siblings welcome) can do activities related to their Faith while parents engage in conversations about raising kids and bringing Faith into the home?

Please join us for Early Catholic Family Life (ECFL) now starting November 2nd. Bring the whole family! No cost to register. Space is very limited. Open to families of any Catholic parish.

Please join us on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the DoubleTree in downtown Cedar Rapids for Xavier Catholic Schools’ Fall Fest. Fall Fest is a casual, fun-filled evening with casino games, food/dessert stations, signature drinks, silent/live auctions, and more! This event is raising funds to support technology upgrades and technology alignment in our PK-8 schools (All Saints, LaSalle Catholic, St. Joseph, St. Matthew, St. Pius X, Regis) and early learning centers.

ISASP Claim Codes

This week we emailed claim codes for you to access your student's ISASP testing results from last year. Here are some tips to access those:

The instructions you received were for parents that have never logged into this system. IF you have have a previous account, log in at the ISASP website, then add your claim code (shared in the email from 10/24) in the menu on the left side to link most recent scores with your student's previous results.

Workplace Learning Connection Second Semester Internships

Internship applications with Workplace Learning Connection are due Thursday, October 31st. Please encourage your students to complete applications prior to the deadline if interested.

Register for Winter Activities/Sports on Bound

Any student planning on participating in an activity/sport this winter must  be registered on Bound. Please register your student now for all activities they plan to participate in this year so that we can provide communication prior to the season.

To Register:

• Visit the Bound Website
• Sign In and click on “Registration”. (Make sure you are selecting the 2024-25 school year.)
• If your student is interested in participating in multiple activities, please register them for each activity.
• If your student is considering participating in athletics or cheer, parents must also upload a Physical, and electronically sign a Concussion and Permission/Release Form via Bound.
• All physicals will now be uploaded through this process – paper forms will not be accepted in the XHS Activities Office. You will not need to print a form elsewhere.

Speech Auditions

Speech Auditions will be held on Monday, November 4th and Thursday, November 7th from 4:30-6:00 PM in Room # 229.

Fall Musical Tickets

Join us at the fair! Tickets for the fall musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s State Fair will go on sale on Tuesday, October 15th at 8:00 AM. Reserve your seat and join the Frake family as they embark on a journey to the Iowa State Fair in hopes to bring home some blue ribbons and find romance. This lesser known classic will have you laughing, crying, and dancing in the seats. Come join us at the 1946 Iowa State Fair!

Tickets are $12 each and include all service fees. Tickets must be purchased online before the show. No tickets will be sold at the door and no activity passes are accepted.
