Community System Diaper Drive for YPN

In celebration of Respect Life Month the Community System is collecting diapers to support YPN and the Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank. Students are encouraged to bring in diapers, wipes and infant toys through October 25th. All donations should be brought to the student's "House".

Xavier High School’s annual Community Service Day is November 6. This is a wonderful day of service for our Saints out in the community. All students must be registered by their parents in order to participate. Deadline was Friday, October 4, but many are still missing.

For families with siblings, please complete this form for EACH STUDENT.

Fall Musical Tickets

Join us at the fair! Tickets for the fall musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s State Fair will go on sale on Tuesday, October 15th at 8:00 AM.  Reserve your seat and join the Frake family as they embark on a journey to the Iowa State Fair in hopes to bring home some blue ribbons and find romance. This lesser known classic will have you laughing, crying, and dancing in the seats. Come join us at the 1946 Iowa State Fair!

Tickets are $12 each and include all service fees. Tickets must be purchased online before the show. No tickets will be sold at the door and no activity passes are accepted.

Transportation Reimbursement

First semester non-public transportation reimbursement forms are linked below. Click the district in which you live to find the form you need to submit. 

• To qualify for reimbursement you must live 3+ miles from Xavier (2+ miles for elementary/middle schools).
• Cedar Rapids school district forms need to be turned into the Xavier main office by Tuesday, November 28th. 
• If you live in College Community, Linn Mar Community, Marion Independent or any other district, the form must be mailed directly to that district's business office. They must receive it by December 1st. 
• If you live in a school district that is not listed you will need to contact that school district’s business or transportation department to obtain the form and address to mail it to.

Junior retreatants, senior leaders, and adult leaders will be going on Kairos October 10-13. Please pray for them while on retreat!

Fall Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent teacher conferences are scheduled for:

• Monday, Oct. 28th (3:30-8:30)
• Wednesday, Oct. 30th (3:30-8:30

Registration will begin Sunday, October 13th at 5:00 PM. Instructions were mailed out on Friday, October 4th. Please contact Anne Wallraff if you did not receive an email.

Goldfinch Tap and Eatery is hosting a “Give Back Night” to benefit Xavier Football on Wednesday, October 16, from 4pm-9pm. Goldfinch, located at 740 10th Street, Marion, will give back 25% of the profits to the football program from that evening. Go Saints!

Next weekend the Xavier Catholic Schools Impact Fund - Parish Appeal will launch in our parishes, and run through November 8. We encourage our Xavier Catholic Schools families to serve in your parish and wear your spiritwear in support of our schools and our efforts.

This year the XCS Impact Fund dollars will be used to promote faith and building enhancements in our eight schools including our early learning centers, elementary schools, middle schools, and high school. Our overall parish goal is $725,000.

Bring your completed card and donation to Mass next weekend, or mail in to the Xavier Catholic Schools Foundation. Additional cards will be available in the pews next weekend. Donations can also be made online at crxcs.org/give, or through PayPal or Venmo.
