Communication From Teachers

We want to serve Xavier families and answer your questions and concerns. We aim to respond to emails and calls within 24 hours. It is also important that Xavier teachers and staff are able to maintain family time and home life.  

As a school we will be working to honor time when we are “off”. We thank you for understanding that when families or students contact us in the evenings or on the weekends, you can expect we will respond in the morning or when we return on Monday.

The Community Store is now open and will be available until Friday, September 29th. This is the place to grab an extra community shirt, a long sleeve shirt or a sweatshirt for those cold days at Xavier! New this year, we have optional Community System sweatpants! Impact Fund for Our Teachers -This Weekend

Xavier Impact Fund kicks off this weekend in our CR metro-area parishes! This weekend…

-Pray for our parish efforts and for our Catholic School teachers.

Parent Canvas Account

Parents can set up a Canvas account to observe their student’s grades, view due dates, receive communication from teachers, and set notification preferences.

Parents setting Up a Parent Canvas Account...

1. Using a computer web browser, go to Xavier.Instructure.com.
2. Click on the link labeled “Parent of a Canvas User? Click Here For an Account.” 
3. Fill out your name and email, choose a password, enter the pairing code (generated by your student in their Canvas app - view instructions) and check the box to agree to the terms. 
4. Open your email to complete the account registration.

Back to School Night Recap

Thank you to all those parents able to attend the Back to School Night last week. It was great to see you all and we hope you had a chance to get a feel for what your student’s day is like here at Xavier. We look forward to seeing you all at the end of October for Parent Teacher Conferences!

Homecoming Dance 2023

The Homecoming Dance will be held Saturday, October 7th from 8:00PM to 10:30PM at the High School. Tickets ($7 each or $5 with donation of 2 canned goods) will go on sale the week of September 25th. Students who wish to bring a date from a school other than Xavier will need to have an approved non-Xavier date form submitted before they may purchase tickets. More details will be shared as the date gets closer.

Blood Drive Reminder (9/28)

Xavier will be hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, September 28th from 9:30am to 1:00pm in the Gym Balcony. Parents can earn Community Points for their child by donating, and each donor receives a gift. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome also this year. Any questions, please contact Kris.Naeve@xaviersaints.org

Flu Shot Clinic Reminder (9/19)

Hy-Vee will be hosting a Flu Shot Clinic on Tuesday Sept 19th at Xavier from 10:30 AM to Noon. Follow-Up from Jason Evert Presentation

Thank you to all faculty, staff, and volunteers who helped with the success of Monday’s Community Retreat Day. We truly couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help.

A shipment of more Chastity Project books is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20 and the books will be in Campus Ministry for any students who did not receive a book after Jason's talk. Feel free to stop by and ask for one!

Kairos Reminder

If you are a junior parent, please consider encouraging your student to sign up for Kairos as soon as possible. It is a unique experience that you won’t want them to miss!

• The retreat will be held at Ridgehaven Cono Camp in Walker, IA.
• It begins at 4pm Thursday and concludes Sunday afternoon.
• The three dates are: October 12-15, February 8-11 and April 4-7. 
• The cost $175. Registration is taken through 8to18.
• If you need aid assistance, contact Angie Calhoun the new controller.
