Transportation Reimbursement

First semester non-public transportation reimbursement forms are linked below. Click the district in which you live to find the form you need to submit. 

• To qualify for reimbursement you must live 3+ miles from Xavier (2+ miles for elementary/middle schools).
• Cedar Rapids school district forms need to be turned into the Xavier main office by Tuesday, November 28th. 
• If you live in College Community, Linn Mar Community, Marion Independent or any other district, the form must be mailed directly to that district's business office. They must receive it by December 1st. 
• If you live in a school district that is not listed you will need to contact that school district’s business or transportation department to obtain the form and address to mail it to.

Action Item: Community Service Day Registration

Xavier High School’s annual Community Service Day is November 6. This is a wonderful day of service for our Saints out in the community. All students must be registered by their parents in order to participate.

Parents need to complete their student(s) registration for Community Service Day by Friday, October 4. 

Please also consider joining us as a parent driver for the day! This day is not possible without the volunteers who are willing to drive our students. It is a great day of service and fun!

The rain makeup date will be Wednesday, November 13th.

Freshmen Guidance Classes

Freshmen Guidance classes will be starting this week. These will take place during RTI on Tuesday & Thursday. Students with last names A-L are assigned to Tuesdays. Students with last names M-Z are assigned to Thursdays.

Important CPR Information

The National Guard will be here on Monday and Tuesday to complete CPR training. Students will be completing this in their Fitness/Wellness classes. All seniors that do not have a F/W class and have not completed CPR will be assigned Tuesday during RTI. This is a graduation requirement. IF you are CPR certified, you must bring in a copy of your certification or card to Student Services to be cleared before your class. Please contact Mrs. Wallraff with any questions.

“We Care” Calls

Xavier will be starting “We Care” calls this week. For each transfer or freshman student, a faculty member will be contacting you to check in and make sure everything is going well. If you are the parent of a freshman or transfer student, please be expecting a call from an unknown number and return their calls if you receive a message.

Activities/Sports Sign Up

All students participating in an activity (FINE ARTS, ATHLETICS OR CLUBS) at Xavier High School must be registered on Bound. Please register now for all activities your student plans to participate in this year so that we can provide communication to you prior to the season.

• Go to www.gobound.com/ia/schools/xavier
• Sign In and click on “Registration” - Make sure you are selecting the 2024-25 school year.
• If your student is interested in participating in multiple activities, please register them for each activity.
• If your student is considering participating in athletics or cheer, parents must also upload a Physical, and electronically sign a Concussion and Permission/Release Form via Bound. All physicals will now be uploaded through this process – paper forms will not be accepted in the XHS Activities Office. You will not need to print a form elsewhere.
