Doors Open at 7:30 PM for pictures, students must arrive by 8:15 PM and may leave no earlier than 10:15 PM)

LOCATION: Xavier High School Gym

COST:  $7 per person or $5 with 3 approved food pantry items

Tickets will be on sale next week Wednesday-Friday during lunch.

Flu Shot Clinic

Hy-Vee will be at Xavier on Tuesday September 17 from 10:30 AM to Noon in the Novak Room providing flu shots to those interested. Please see the Information Letter for information on insurance and cost.  Consent form will also be required. Questions, contact Kris Naeve, School Nurse at kris.naeve@crxcs.org.

Kairos

Congratulations to Senior Leaders for K52: Callie Alberts, Owen Casey, Claire Dougherty, Maddy Jongquist, Taylor Rexroth, Aubrey Sires, and Gwen Schwendeman.

Kairos is an optional retreat for juniors. There are three dates offered. Consider registering early because they fill up quickly. The retreat is held at Ridgehaven Cono Camp in Walker, IA. It begins at 4:00 PM on Thursday and concludes Sunday afternoon. The cost is $200. The three dates are October 10-13, February 13-16 and April 3-6. (April is currently full, please email Lilly Boenker to be added to a wait list if interested.) Registration is taken through this Kairos Registration Form.

Liturgy Committee

This club will meet once a month to plan All-School Masses, help with liturgical seasons (Advent, Lent, Christmas, Easter), and/or train as a sacristan for Mass. We also will be learning why the Mass is important and how we can help our friends and family understand that better! Our first meeting will be September 11, Wednesday RTI. Encourage your students to sign up!

Workplace Learning Connection

Workplace Learning will be here on Tues. Sept. 10th to teach our students about the job shadow and internship opportunities they offer. All sophomores will be attending. Any juniors & seniors that would like to learn more, can sign up in RTI.

SLU (Duel Credit) Parent Meeting is scheduled for September 18th at 7:00pm in the theater.

504 Notes

Alternative Testing Location: Students with 504s have been sent the Alternate Testing Location Request Google Form for scheduling their tests. It is a good way to teach them self-advocacy and collect data on who is using that accommodation. The form asks them to let us know by the day before to ensure a spot, and it will automatically email teachers when they send the form.

Each Wednesday Mr. Giegerich will be collaborating with teachers with the objective to review common student accommodations and to answer their questions.
