IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT WAITLISTS:

All of the information contained in this document is provided as a courtesy to those seeking an affordable home. The County of Bergen is not responsible for any offers or errors contained herein.

In Bergen County, there are NO affordable or federally-subsidized apartments immediately available. All are on wait lists. The keepers of the wait lists cannot tell us exactly how long they can be. In many instances it can be years.

Therefore, the Division of Senior Services developed a document call "Navigator Notes" which is a monthly updated list of affordable and federally-subsidized buildings that have an open waitlist which are actively accepting applications.

At the end of this email, You will find a section titled "Helpful Links for Affordable Apartment Search". This links will show several websites where you can search for apartments or rooms to rent throughout any county in NJ. You can create your own criteria, including location, amount of rent you can afford, pet friendly, etc.
