President's Message
I've recently facilitated two different leadership groups with two starkly different cultures. One group had a dynamic back-and-forth, remarkable listening skills and an even more remarkable respect for one another. They gave nods to contributions each made, comfortably challenged ideas on the table and developed consensus effectively.

The other team brought their suitcases of wrongs and woes to the table. You couldn't see their baggage, it was tucked neatly under each chair. Then, in a quite skillful, passive-aggressive volley, missives were dropped onto the table. There were no questions. Just announcements.  And clearly a behind-the-scenes team who particularly picked at two others and their thinking.

I aimed both groups toward personal accountability and communication style acceptance. What's the actual goal here? Do we agree on this? What do you own? What is your expectation of others and what they own? Do we have agreement on that?

Propel is April 28-30. We'll have a lot of expertise on leadership and ownership in the room. You've done so many right things to get where you are. You've also held yourself back. What kind of leader are you within your team? With your clients? With your vendors? Where do you want to grow? What do you own that's importantly yours? What is it time to shed? Think on these things to prep for our 3-day intensive.  See you soon!
