Help Make the NBA BankPAC Auction a Success

Donating an item to the NBA BankPAC Auction is a fun way to support the NBA State BankPAC. Donated items should have a retail value of at least $100 and need to be sent to the NBA office by April 20. Popular items from past auctions include tickets to sporting events, golf packages, home decor, electronics and jewelry.

Your NBA BankPAC Auction donation assists the banking industry in electing pro-banking, pro-business candidates. The Annual NBA State BankPAC Auction will be held during the NBA Convention on May 3-5 at the Embassy Suites in La Vista.

If you have an item to donate or have questions, contact Jennifer Heaton at the NBA at [email protected] or 402-474-1555.

NBA Employee Spotlight

Meet Steven Mah, the NBA’s new workforce development coordinator. Steven is from Omaha and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Creighton Prep High School.

What are you looking forward to in your new role?

I'm looking forward to connecting with our vast network of bank members across the state and helping build a strong pipeline of the next generation of banking professionals!

What is your favorite thing about Nebraska?

My favorite thing about Nebraska is that no matter where you are in the state, you will always feel welcome. Nebraska nice isn't just a cliche, but a warm kindness that I see on display every day. Plus, I love how we get the best of both worlds with vibrant big city environments in Lincoln and Omaha, but rural peacefulness only a short drive away.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include shamelessly cheering on our beloved Huskers, attending concerts of my favorite artists, spending quality time with family and friends, and training for my next half marathon!

Be Aware of Ransomware

According to a 2022 survey by the Risk Management Association, 85% of community bank executives have identified cybersecurity as a top priority. Current ransomware threats pose a greater challenge than before. A recent SafeAlert publication outlines the current threat landscape and provides best practices to reduce exposure.
