NBA Committees Held Annual Summer Meetings

The Nebraska bankers who serve on the NBA Education Advisory Committees gathered last week in Hastings. During this annual planning event, committee members identified topics of interest for quality, cost-effective training delivered in a variety of formats.

The NBA Government Relations Committee also met to review legislation carried over from the 2023 legislative session. Additionally, they discussed potential affirmative legislative topics for the 2024 session.

The NBA is a banker-driven organization. If you're interested in serving on an NBA committee, watch Update for the committee volunteer application in December.

What Happens with the Dollars You Donate to BankPAC?

Good question! Our PAC dollars have become very important due to the effects of term limits on our state senators. The dollars help elect candidates who support pro-banking and pro-business policies. NBA BankPAC is a critical part of the NBA's government relations efforts.

We have received $91,692 toward our $160,000 goal! For those banks and bankers who have already contributed to the 2023 NBA BankPAC Campaign, we extend our appreciation for your support. We recognize our members who have made voluntary contributions to NBA BankPAC on the NBA BankPAC Honor Roll.

If you have questions about the NBA's political action efforts, please do not hesitate to contact NBA BankPAC Committee Chair Luke Rickertsen, Flatwater Bank (Gothenburg), at 308-537-7181 or Jennifer Heaton at the NBA at 402-474-1555.

Please consider applying to serve and help ensure our interests are represented," Woodbury said.

in order to better serve our members with their communication and marketing needs.

What are your hobbies?

My current obsession is “House of the Dragon” on HBO Max. I think it is great that they are able to come back strong after a disappointing “Game of Thrones” finale. I also like to find the best places to eat in town, so if you have any suggestions let me know!
